So, Nintendo is hosting a Nintendo Direct tonight about the upcoming Super Smash Bros. titles for Wii U and 3DS at 6pm EST. I am very excited about this. Lots of people are very excited about this.

But Nintendo has already taken a little wind out of the sails of the Direct, stating via Twitter that there won't be a concrete release date announced, just a "launch window."

Well, I guess technically they didn't totally kill the idea of a full release date reveal, but "launch window" certainly doesn't sound like they're planning on giving us a specific date. I guess we'll just have to wait and see as far as that goes.
One thing is for certain, though, Nintendo wouldn't be hosting a strictly Smash Bros. Direct if we weren't going to get a big announcement. We'll be covering the Direct right here, so keep it locked to GameNGuide for all of your Super Smash news tonight.
