Elden Ring Hackers Are Reportedly Making PvP More... Fun

Some Elden Ring Hackers Are Using Their Skills To Put More Spice Into PvP, It Seems

Hackers in video games, specifically those who plague multiplayer PvP titles, are an absolute pain in the neck for both gamers and game developers to deal with. But a handful of Elden Ring hackers are actually using their skills to improve the game's overall PvP experience, and a good number of gamers are backing them up.

WCCFTech that a Redditor by the handle WeebMaster09 recounted an experience with one of these Elden Ring hackers recently. According to them, some hackers are actually summoning other players into one of the game's weirdly unused battle arenas for one-on-one duels.

Dueling against another player in FromSoftware's latest game is far more difficult than it should be, simply because the open world's dangers don't stop for anyone short of somebody actively using a Site of Grace for RnR. But in the arena, two players can battle against each other without any distractions whatsoever. Here is WeebMaster09's video of being summoned to the aforementioned arena by a hacker:

As you can see in the video, WeebMaster can't even leave the arena normally because it's technically supposed to be off-limits to players. But no place is off-limits for Elden Ring hackers (and other video game hackers in general), because that's what they do.

After trying to figure out how to leave the makeshift PvP arena, the player relents and does battle with a couple of other players in there. They die and make their way back to the spot where they were summoned from. But also, the video is making other people wonder about what a dedicated PvP battle arena in Elden Ring would look like. If FromSoftware finally makes it official, that is.

The aforementioned Elden Ring arena that WeebMaster was summoned to made headlines earlier this year when it was first discovered by a renowned Dark Souls series dataminer. But since its discovery, FromSoftware hasn't relented to fan clamor for PvP arena battles to be official.

Is Elden Ring's PvP Multiplayer Worth It?

Ever since it launched, Elden Ring has featured a PvP multiplayer that works via Invasions. That is, another player could pop up into your game whenever they want to challenge you, potentially kill you, and take your Runes. But it only works when you're actively doing co-op, and not when you opt to play online. That's pretty much it.

Some players aren't exactly liking the PvP as of the moment, that one Redditor goes as far as to say its multiplayer isn't even close to the quality of, say, Dark Souls 3's. Other gamers think that while PvP can be fun and make the game more varied, some are arguing that success in PvP is only limited to very specific builds with equally specific skills, weapons, and armor sets (via GameSpot). In other words, they think the scene is unbalanced and unwelcoming to a lot of players.

Either way, many players still argue that Elden Ring PvP needs a major rework to get more people to engage with it. Maybe a dedicated Arena mode is the start of something great, FromSoftware?
