Thanks to CNET, here are your options for resetting your Xbox console. According to CNET, what you have to do first is press the Xbox Button to access the guide where you can select Profile & System. Next, you will be able to find Settings under Profile & System. And now, under Settings, select System, and finally, select Console Info.

Choose Reset Console from the Console Info menu. After selecting Reset Console, you will be given two options: Reset and keep my games and applications and Reset and remove everything.

If you plan to sell your Xbox console, give it to a friend, or maybe donate it to some charity institutions, you should select Reset and remove everything. This option will reset your console to its factory defaults and assure you that all previous data registered in the console will be removed and deleted from the console. The said process is applicable to either Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, or Xbox One. 

Xbox Support tells us that all your accounts, stored games, settings, and home Xbox associations will be deleted when you reset your system to its factory defaults. You will lose anything that is not synchronized with the Xbox network. If you've been disconnected from the Xbox service for some time, sign back into the service so that your console can automatically sync with the Xbox network.
