Circulating Darksiders 4 Leak is Bogus: Here's Why You Shouldn't Believe it

There's a reason why the viral Darksiders 4 leak is too good to be true.

The viral Darksiders 4 leak has been bugging some fans for a while. Some players are speculating that the arrival of this rumored installment could be this year, but there's plenty of reason why it's too early to believe its bogus debut.

The Darksiders Genesis and Darksiders 3 have been pretty impressive so far. The upcoming video game title under the same franchise could sound very promising, but since it's only a leak, everyone should take this with a grain of salt.

The latest Darksiders 4 leak could sound promising for the fans, but there are plenty of reasons why you should disregard it this time.

Not all you see on the internet is indeed believable especially if it does not come from a reliable source. In the gaming industry, several leaks could be amusing to hear, but your wish list won't stay the same once you know that it's fake.

According to a report by Gamerant, the recent leak about Darksiders 4 turns out to be a hoax. Many people have been seeing a report about the "alpha test" leak of the game where in fact, THQ Nordic nor Gunfire Games has not yet announced a bit of information about it.

When the Austrian game publisher released a brief teaser of the upcoming games to be released in the future, the most controversial title that appeared on the list was a new Darksiders game.

The leak suggests that this action-adventure game will be launched as Darksiders 4: Exodus. As expected, the tipster unveils that four Horsemen can be accessed as playable characters here.

Furthermore, it claims that the gamer will be able to play Strife, Fury, Death, and Warrior as Ranger, Assassin, Mage, and Warrior respectively.

The most noticeable error in the post is Strife's name which was misspelled as Stryfe. From here, everybody can have an idea that the idea was rushed and incomplete at the moment.

The leak also says that there will be a fresh set of mechanics that will come in Darksiders 4 including the semi-open world change and revamped gameplay.

On top of that, it claims that Darksiders 4 will be the sequel of the Darksiders Genesis, the very first game of the franchise.

It should be noted that the previous post indicates that this is not a genuine leak coming from a trusted tipster. By that, the source of the information smells "fishy" so, at this point, it's difficult to convince someone that the Darksiders 4 leak is almost real.

If you're still not convinced about this viral rumor about the game, Gunfire Games' latest reply in a post will put a nail in the coffin here.

So far, we could only hope for the 25 unannounced games coming from THQ Nordic. Of course, we still have doubts if the new Darksiders title will be included in the lineup, as per The Gamer.

In other news, Square Enix has confirmed that the "Buried Memory" update is coming on Final Fantasy XIV next week.
