Developer Blackbird Interactive announced recently that the highly-anticipated real-time strategy game Homeworld 3 will officially take off on March 8, 2024.
Although the official release date is a month later than what was previously expected, players can now safely mark their calendars for its eventual launch in Q1 2024. Players can now pre-order the game, with some additional perks for those who buy the more expensive versions.
What is It?
For the uninitiated, Homeworld 3 is a real-time strategy game that is being developed by Blackbird Interactive. It takes off after the events of Homeworld 2, where Karan S'jet holds the key to unraveling the mystery threatening the galaxy's future. While some of the original game mechanics are still intact, the next iteration of the popular Homeworld IP brings its own new mechanics to the fore.
The game now has fully simulated ballistics, which enables players to take advantage of line of sight. Players will be forced to make critical decisions and fast, otherwise, they risk getting destroyed by the enemy. Players will also come across debris or the crumbling remains of an ancient civilization that they can utilize to hide from their foes or to lure them in for the kill.
