Sledgehammer Games has finally revealed all of the new content that players can expect in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III's first season, including new maps, game modes, and items.

New Maps

Four new maps are coming to Modern Warfare III - three of which are available at launch while the last one will be introduced sometime during the season.

"Meat" and "Greece" are new 6v6 maps that will be available to all players from the start of Season 1. The former is set in a fast-paced butchery on the West Coast where players can take advantage of the new "Tac-Stance" ability to weave through the map's tight spaces. The latter, on the other hand, takes players to a coastal town filled with shops and narrow alleys perfect for close-quarters combat. Players can also utilize the many vantage points in the area if they want to eliminate enemies from a distance.

The "Training Facility" is a new 2v2 map where the returning game mode, Gunfight, is held. This is a relatively small map with a second level that gives players a wider view of the area. Players can use the map's interior spaces to ambush unsuspecting enemies as well.

"Rio" is another 6v6 map but players will have to wait before they can deploy to this new location.

New Game Modes

Competitive players can try the upcoming "All or Nothing" game mode when Season 1 arrives next week. This is an interesting one because players will deploy with nothing but Throwing Knives. If they want to get their hands on new weapons, they must use what they currently have to slay their foes. Besides that, players can retrieve ammo from dead enemies thanks to the Scavenger Perk. The objective of the All or Nothing game mode is simple: The first to rack 20 kills wins.

Vortex is not expected to drop at launch. However, when it does become available, players can indulge in a game mode where one of them spawns with the infamous "Ray Gun" in hand. For those who do not play Zombies Mode in Modern Warfare III, the Ray Gun is a very powerful "Wonder Weapon" that essentially decimates anything and everything with just one shot. Anyway, Vortex will take place on three revamped multiplayer maps, such as the Sporeyard, Tetanus, and Satan's Quarry.

In addition, Sledgehammer Games wants to capitalize on the popularity of Zombies Mode, which is why the company will add the "Infected" game mode mid-season. Here, a randomly chosen victim will spawn as the Infected, with the goal of eliminating any sane survivor on the map. Survivors must do whatever they can to keep their humanity in check.

Another game mode that's going to be released mid-season is Team Gunfight. As one can surmise, this is similar to the 2v2 "Gunfight," albeit on a larger scale. Two teams of six players each will battle it out using randomized loadouts at the start of each round. The team that reaches the required number of eliminations first wins the game.

New Items and Killstreaks

When Season 1 arrives, players can get their hands on the new Assassin Vest, which is a new tactical gear that makes them immune to enemy radar and UAVs. What's more, eliminations won't display skulls so opponents won't have an idea where the killer is.

In terms of Killstreaks, players who rack 15 kills in succession can use the "Swarm." This allows them to deploy a large number of mosquito drones to cover an entire area.

Aside from that, the EMP lets players launch an Electromagnetic Pulse that disrupts enemy Killstreaks and equipment. This is a great way to disrupt the enemy's devious plans. This is usable after 13 straight eliminations.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Season 1 will launch on December 6 at 12 p.m. EST.
