Bungie is Giving Away Destiny 2: Legacy Collection for Free, Here's How to Get Yours

Do you want to try out Destiny 2 without spending a dime? If so, head to the Epic Games Store because the Destiny 2: Legacy Collection can be yours for free until next week!

Free for a Limited Time

Although the base game is free of charge, Destiny 2: Legacy Collection offers a lot more. The good news is that it can be yours without spending anything when you go to the Epic Games Store. This offer is available from now until December 20.

The Destiny 2: Legacy Collection, in case you do not know, is composed of the game's previous expansions. This includes Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen. The last actually received high praise from the community, so if you want to engage in the game's campaign, you definitely want to grab the collection soon.

It is worth noting that the bundle does not come with the "30th Anniversary Pack" or Dungeon Keys. If you want to enter the individual dungeons, you will have to spend a bit just to gain entry. But, even if you do not buy the keys, you can still enjoy what the previous expansions of the game have to offer.

How to Get Yours

If you are interested in getting your own free copy, go to the Epic Games Store and click on the aptly named "Get" button. A pop-up window will appear that just asks you if you want to confirm the order. Once that is done, you can fire up your Epic Games Launcher and enjoy!

Now, if you are completely new to the platform and have not added the base game yet, you must do that before acquiring the collection. Do not worry, they can both be yours without spending anything!

Even if you do not play Destiny 2, it is worth saving in your library because this offer is just too hard to pass up.

New Update

In other news, Bungie has released Update 7.3.0.3 just recently. One of the highlights is that the cost of Legacy Decoding at ritual vendors has been reduced. Legacy Decoding is a feature in Destiny 2 that lets you craft gear from previous years with specific rolls. This, of course, costs some resources, but they have now been reduced considerably to encourage you to use the said feature.

That said, the cost of decoding Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard gear now costs three Ritual Engrams each. Furthermore, Nightfall weapons that you have not acquired yet will cost five Vanguard Engrams to decode. However, Nightfall weapons that you have already acquired will only cost you three Vanguard Engrams.

Update 7.3.0.3 also comes with some bug fixes. Here are some of the most notable ones:

ACTIVITIES

  • Dungeon - Warlord's Ruin

    • Fixed an issue where Master and Solo Flawless Triumphs were giving the wrong rewards.

  • Crucible

    • Fixed an issue where the Belisarius-D was not awarded upon completing Crucible competitive placement challenge.

    • Fixed an issue where the Dragon's Bite artifact perk was unintentionally working in PvP.

    • Updated the target score in Countdown Rush to 4.

GAMEPLAY/INVESTMENT

  • Fixed an issue where the Dragon's Bite artifact perk was triggering off of player shield breaks in the Crucible.

  • Fixed an issue causing the Wish Into Being artifact perk to trigger when the player's Super energy was full. Fixed an issue that caused the perk to also be triggered by unpowered melee attacks and destroying Stasis crystals.

FIRETEAM FINDER

  • Fixed an issue where browsing through Fireteam Finder listings can lead to a game crash

  • Checkpoints are not respected for activities once summoned via Fireteam Finder.

Now that Destiny 2: Legacy Collection is available for free in the Epic Games Store, will you be getting your copy soon?
