6 Best Weapons to Use in Valorant in Patch 8.0

Choosing the right weapon in Valorant is a must if you want to win. With a plethora of different guns, you might have a hard time picking the right one for the job. Do not worry, for in this guide, you will learn what the best weapons in Valorant are in Patch 8.0.

Outlaw

The first one on the list is actually quite new. The Outlaw is a double-barrel sniper rifle in Valorant that was released in Patch 8.0. What makes this quite appealing to use is that it has a high fire rate, good stability when firing from the hip, and deals considerable damage which makes this a great choice for long-range engagements. If you are able to land headshots consistently with this weapon, you will be taking out the enemy team without any problem! And, because the gun is priced at 2,400 Creds, you can rack up the kills early on in the game.

Operator

If you have played Valorant for quite some time, you know how powerful the Operator is. This is another sniper rifle in the game that is known for its incredible stopping power. In fact, it's so amazing in this department that it has the highest single-target damage of all weapons in Valorant. The only issue here is that it is priced at 4,700 Creds. However, if you are able to get that amount of money quickly, you will have an insane advantage over the competition for sure!

Spectre

Now, if sniping enemies from afar is not your preferred playstyle, then perhaps you will find the Spectre quite appealing. This is considered by many as the best submachine gun in the game, notably because of its insanely fast fire rate. This is best utilized when you flank and attack enemies from behind. Just press and hold the left mouse button and you will see your opponents die in a matter of seconds! Although it is not best for long-range battles, this is one of the perfect weapons to use in close-quarters combat.

Phantom

The Phantom is what I would consider as one of the most balanced weapons in Valorant. This is a 30-round assault rifle that boasts impressive accuracy. Whether you go in first to attack enemies up close or stay away at medium range, the Phantom does not disappoint. Its high fire rate also makes quick work of the enemy, so you definitely cannot go wrong if you choose this gun over the others.

Vandal

Arguably the closest competitor to the Phantom, the Vandal is another popular assault rifle in the game. What makes this special is that it has no damage fall-off when tearing opponents down from afar. However, when compared to the Phantom, the Vandal is best utilized when tap-firing enemies. This means that you shouldn't hold the fire button when you engage. If you're wondering which gun you should choose between the Vandal and Phantom, it really boils down to personal preference. Do you like a "spray-and-pray" style of play? Go Phantom. Do you want a more methodical approach to combat? Pick the Vandal.

Sheriff

While not cheap at 800 Creds, the Sheriff has enough power to warrant its higher price tag. It is the best pistol when it comes to eliminating enemies in the pistol round, especially if you are able to close the gap. You just have to be more accurate with your shots, but if that is not an issue, then the Sheriff is a great choice. Show them who's the boss in the early rounds with this weapon!
