Rockstar Games has kicked off the new year with a set of enticing bonuses and rewards for players in Red Dead Online, specifically catering to those who embrace the Naturalist role. This move aims to invigorate gameplay, emphasizing interactions with the game's diverse wildlife and expansive landscapes.

Enhancing the Naturalist Role
Red Dead Online features five Specialist roles, each offering unique activities and corresponding bonuses. The Naturalist role centers around exploring and preserving the natural world.
This involves encounters with Legendary Animals, photography of rare beasts, and the collection and sale of samples to conservationists. New players are advised to focus on a specific role to maximize rewards, expediting progress in other areas.
Rockstar Unveils Naturalist Bonuses
In an official blog post, Rockstar Games detailed the Naturalist bonuses, encouraging players to embark on a "fruitful start" to the year. The bonuses include increased payouts for selling samples, a kill challenge for hunters, a photography free roam event, and substantial rewards for fishers selling their catches to the Butcher.
Logging in regularly during the bonus period will grant players various freebies, with double rewards for participating in January 2024's Featured Series.

- Double RDO$ and XP payout for selling Samples
- Triple RDO$ on Fish Sales
- Wild Animals Kill Challenge - 2x RDO$ and XP
- Wildlife Photography Free Roam - 2x RDO$ and XP
- Fishing Challenge Free Roam - 2x RDO$ and XP
- Featured Series Modes - 2x RDO$, XP, and Gold
- Exclusive Limited-Time Rewards for Naturalists
The bonus period, running until February 5, 2024, also introduces exclusive rewards for Naturalist players, such as a free Honor Reset, weight gain and weight loss tonics, and unique clothing items. These rewards are tied to various in-game achievements, from selling samples and completing animal sighting missions to hunting or sampling Legendary Animals.
Despite Rockstar Games shifting focus away from Red Dead Online, the game continues to offer a substantial and engaging online experience.
