Released on March 3, 2023, King of the Castle is developed by Tributary Games and published by Team17. It is, as previously mentioned, a medieval party game that can accommodate three to 24 other players. You get to play the monarch, while everyone else are the nobles who have the power to vote on your decisions.

However, as we have seen in history, the nobles have the option to overthrow you. Your decisions actually play a huge role in the game as it remembers them and knits them into the story. There are 80 unique endings available, and what ending you will get is shaped by your very decisions.

As for the loyal or not-so-loyal nobles, each player actually has a very important role to play, and has his or her own story of ambition and possibly betrayal.

How It Works as a Party Game

Up to 24 people can play with you either via Discord or video call. The game does have screen share feature that makes things more convenient. It is likewise compatible with Twitch.

The game can be played both on desktop or mobile. This can be done for free via kotc.app.

It should be noted that whoever owns the game gets to be the monarch in the game.
