Dungeon Crawling Glory Returns, Classic Diablo Now Playable on Battle.net

Blizzard Entertainment has recently made waves in the gaming community by announcing the availability of classic titles, including Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, Diablo, and Warcraft 2, on its digital distribution platform, Battle.net. While some may be surprised by their absence until now, these games have been accessible on GOG for the past 3-4 years.

Feature-Packed Gaming Experience

The games, presented in their original form rather than remasters, arrive on Battle.net in a feature-packed state, offering players the complete experience, including original multiplayer modes and any expansions. Notably, the first Warcraft game boasts:

  • Two dozen missions across two separate campaigns.
  • Custom games with 21 bonus maps for skill honing.
  • A two-player versus mode for intense multiplayer battles.
  • Diablo, a timeless classic, makes a return with three distinct classes, multiplayer functionality, and 16 levels of old-school randomly generated dungeons.

A Nostalgic Trip to Gaming Roots

These titles, while not Blizzard's first games, hold a special place in the hearts of many fans, marking the beginning of the company's journey. Despite co-founder Frank Pearce stating in 2016 that titles like Orcs and Humans might feel rudimentary today, the announcement on Battle.net invites gamers to rediscover the magic of these foundational pieces of gaming history.
