Developer Mintrocket has some good news for PlayStation users looking to play its popular game Dave the Diver. The casual single player adventure title, which was able to get numerous game award nominations last year, is set to release on PlayStation this April. However, that is not the only thing players can expect to happen this year.

An Unlikely Pair

Dave the Diver is an adventure RPG where players take control of the titular character, Dave, to scour the sea for fish during the day and manage a pretty popular sushi restaurant by night. This casual experience is a breath of fresh air, especially if players constantly subject themselves to frantic games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or The Finals.

That said, the recent announcement that the game is coming to PlayStation users is not the biggest. It is actually the news that Dave will be crossing over with another popular figure simply known as Godzilla!

The unlikely pair is going to send shockwaves once the fearsome sea monster surfaces in May 2024. It is unclear what Godzilla is going to bring to the table. But, if one looks at the video promo, Godzilla can be seen fighting another giant monster. Perhaps a Kaiju vs. Kaiju fight is imminent in Dave the Diver!

Xbox, When?

As of right now, Dave the Diver is only available on the Nintendo Switch and PC. While it is good that this single player adventure game is coming to PlayStation in a couple of months, Xbox users ask on X/Twitter when it will arrive on Microsoft's consoles.

Nulled_Pixel shared that the game will have more traction if it is available as part of Xbox Game Pass.

In the meantime, players can expect a new DLC arriving soon for Dave the Diver. Perhaps they can explore new areas previously covered in snow once it goes live in the coming weeks.

Dave the Diver has been praised by many due to its casual playstyle, cool mechanics, and its 2D graphics stand out but in a good way. It currently has a 97% "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam, so those who cannot wait for the eventual PlayStation release can now enjoy it on PC or Nintendo Switch.

Anyway, what can you say about Godzilla coming to Dave the Diver this year? Let us know in the comments!
