Epic Games just dropped a new patch for LEGO Fortnite and it is a good one. Update v28.20 introduced a new weapon that is perfect for hunting. The update brought a bunch of gameplay and quality-of-life improvements as well.

Go Hunting

The new weapon introduced in the most recent update for LEGO Fortnite is the Hunting Dagger. This is a relatively fast-attacking weapon that is best used when the enemy is distracted.

It comes in several rarities and each crafting recipe is automatically unlocked if you have some of the necessary materials in your possession. For instance, the Rare Hunting Dagger will be available in the Crafting Bench if you add a Cut Ruby to your inventory.

Here is a list of the crafting materials you will need to make the Hunting Daggers:

  • Hunting Dagger (Common)

    • Requires 6x Granite, 4x Bone

    • Craftable at Level 1 Crafting Bench

  • Hunting Dagger (Uncommon)

    • Requires 6x Marble, 4x Cut Amber

    • Craftable at Level 2 Crafting Bench

  • Hunting Dagger (Rare)

    • Requires 6x Obsidian Slab, 4x Cut Ruby

    • Craftable at Level 3 Crafting Bench

  • Hunting Dagger (Epic)

    • Requirex 6x Malachite Slab, 4x Sapphire

    • Craftable at Level 4 Crafting Bench

So, how do you get enemies distracted in LEGO Fortnite to make the Hunting Dagger even more effective? Well, it is actually quite easy! All you have to do is drop some meat on the ground and wait until they eat it. Once they are distracted, go behind them and stab the enemy using the Hunting Dagger for better damage.

Major Improvements

Update v28.20 also brought a number of improvements. Items that you have placed in the Crafting Bench will now be returned to your inventory if you have changed the current crafting recipe. Additionally, there is a new "Take All" option when you interact with chests that allow you to quickly grab all of the stored resources in one click.

On top of that, the frame rate now remains consistent even when shadows are around. Of course, how big of an impact this is depends on your system, but at least this is a welcome improvement, especially if you are playing the game on low-end hardware.

Here are the other noteworthy adjustments in Update v28.20:

GAMEPLAY

  • You can fly faster in Sandbox worlds!

  • It's easier to place builds close to each other.

  • Commute and converse... You can talk to Villagers while on a moving object, including a Dynamic Foundation!

  • Tree logs will remain between gameplay sessions.

  • Village Squares can no longer be placed on things not attached to the ground, since this was causing Village Squares to break.

  • Upgrading a Crafting Bench while another player is using it will work properly. (Waste your resources no more!)

  • Fixed an issue where using the "Deposit" or "Deposit Stack" options to put seeds in soil could make seeds go missing.

  • Fixed an issue where getting resources from Chests wouldn't make recipes unlock.

  • Fixed an issue where the building limitation system would sometimes report that an area was too dense to build in, even though it wasn't.

  • The grass is always greener over there, and apparently the storms are louder... A storm happening in the Grasslands will no longer scare Villagers in other biomes.

PHYSICS

  • Fixed an issue where Dynamic Foundations could disappear when traveling long distances at high speeds

  • Fixed an issue where Toys could disappear after builds on a nearby Dynamic Foundation broke.

  • Fixed an issue where some crumbled builds could be pushed by players.

With the new Hunting Dagger added to LEGO Fortnite, are you going to craft this fast-hitting melee weapon anytime soon?
