H1Z1 Screenshot and Zombie Named Fred Easter Eggs Uncovered By Reddit [PHOTOS]

No Time To Decorate Eggs? No Worries, Sony's Got You Covered With Some H1Z1 Easter Eggs

Last week saw the announcement of Sony's F2P zombie MMO title H1Z1, and while that's certainly exciting, the game's site still appears pretty bare. Well, just in time for Easter this Sunday, Sony has dropped a couple of Easter eggs on their site, uncovered by some clever redditors on the official H1Z1 subreddit.

Look at that mountain in the distance. See that blinky light? No, that's not a dead pixel on your screen, that there is what they call "morse code." And if you decrypt it and follow the link, you find a giant panoramic screenshot.

It's pretty stunning looking, I've got to say. I knew this game was going to be big, but there's seemingly no end in sight in that screenshot (if it's all playable, that is).

Oh, and then there's Fred. Who's Fred? Well, a zombie apparently. He was hidden in the code, and (allegedly) shows up now and again when you're reloading the H1Z1 site to scare the crap out of you. I tried refreshing the site about 55 times to no avail, but maybe one of you can get it to happen.

So what does all of this mean? I don't know, probably nothing. But it is cool that Sony is dropping some cool little things into their site to keep people interested. Also, thank you Reddit for always finding this stuff.

Check out Fred below, and go hug a redditor for being awesome.
