Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 6 Resolves Major Party Management Issues

Baldur's Gate 3 is gearing up for the launch of Patch 6 by Larian Studios, bringing substantial improvements to the game's party management system. This update, scheduled for release this week, specifically addresses player concerns by streamlining the process of dismissing and replacing party members, effectively resolving a longstanding issue in the game's mechanics.

Critical Fixes and Improvements

Among the notable changes is the resolution of long-standing issues with Shield Bash and Rebuke of the Mighty. Larian Studios states that these skills have been fixed, ensuring that passives correctly trigger Saving Throws. This fix is a welcome relief for players who have experienced difficulties with Shield Bash for several months.

Furthermore, Patch 6 prioritizes the player's avatar as the main speaker during automatic dialogue scenes. Previously, other party members sometimes took the lead, causing inconsistencies in the narrative experience. This adjustment aims to provide a more immersive and coherent dialogue flow for players.

New Features and Download Caution

The update, which includes additional features like improved smooches for Valentine's Day, new camp idle animations, and Legendary Actions in Honour Mode, will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, with a Mac version planned for the future.

However, players should be prepared for a substantial download size, with the PC and Steam Deck versions requiring a whopping 150 GB for the full package. Larian Studios suggests uninstalling Baldur's Gate 3 and re-downloading the patched version for those facing space constraints.
