New Weapons, Hacker Playstyle, and More
Contestants in THE FINALS Season 2 are in for a treat with an array of exciting additions. The new Hacker Playstyle allows players to step into the shoes of CNS, equipped with gadgets that can reshape the arena to their advantage. From removing walls and defying gravity to tunneling across the arena, contestants can become the ultimate cyber tactician, bringing a new dimension to the game.
The Hacker Playstyle introduces unique specializations:
- Dematerializer for Mediums: Temporarily erases physical surfaces, turning obstacles into open doors.
- Anti-Gravity Cube for Heavys: Manipulates gravity in its immediate area, providing both traversal and defensive possibilities.
- Gateway for Lights: Limited-range deployable portals for quick getaways and strategic movement.
- Data Reshaper for Mediums: Changes enemy fortifications or objects into something entirely different, offering a versatile approach to breaking through defenses.
- Moreover, all character classes receive new weapons: the Lights with the 93R burst-fire machine pistol, Mediums with the FAMAS burst assault rifle, and Heavys with the KS-23 slug shotgun.
SYS$HORIZON: The Glitched Neon City
CNS, armed with access to assets and source files, introduces SYS$HORIZON - a neon-filled cityscape existing in the loading realm of THE FINALS. This glitchy arena features voxel bridges, floating glitched geometry, and a mix of vertical and horizontal gameplay, creating a visually stunning yet challenging environment for contestants.
A 5v5 Game Mode with a Twist
THE FINALS Season 2 introduces Power Shift, a casual 5v5 game mode where two teams compete to escort a platform through the arena. The platform, if interrupted by an enemy team, grinds to a halt or changes direction, tearing through anything in its path. With the ability to switch contestants between respawns, players can dynamically balance their teams and enhance their skills on the fly.
Revamped League System and Career Circuit
Contestants can now engage in a revamped League System, enhancing the ranked play experience with increased stakes and rewards. Additionally, the new Career Circuit system offers weekly rewards from Seasonal Sponsors, enabling contestants to progress from Rookie to Master by completing contracts throughout the season.
