Captain of Industry just launched its second major update since its release in 2022 and added a map revamp new content, and many other exciting changes to the factory-building genre.
The game combines an element of city-building that requires players to also supply and care for the health of their workers' environment just as much as their machines. This means that too much polluting heavy industry can result in major consequences in the long run.

The game's developer, MaFi Games, has now launched the next major update for the title which adds an extensive map editor. This allows players to tweak the world and the update also revamps all the existing maps in the game to a new, higher standard. There is also a new player hub designed for people who want to share their creations with one another.
Additionally, the new update adds hydrogen vehicles, conveyor lifts, stackable conveyor balances, and many other content, such as improved difficulties. All of these culminate to bring a much smoother experience for players, according to PCGamer.
The new maps in Captain of Industry take the focus in the game's second major update as they have dynamically smoothed edges on mountains that make everything look a lot more realistic.
There is also procedural generation on various terrain features in the map editor. This means that players can lay down a large area that can be filled with forest or mountain and they can then let the editor spit out the details.

Captain of Industry currently has more than 90% positive user rating on Steam, which is an impressive feat for a game that was released in early access in 2022. It also created a new map, Armageddon, that utilizes the fourfold map size increase to become the largest official map.

MaFi Games said that players who have already played the game prior to the second major update will be happy to know that all save files from update 1 will be fully compatible. This includes new features but the developer noted that players will have to start a new game to take advantage of the overhauled maps and improved terrain generation, said PCGamesN.
