Released on January 31, 2024, Murders on the Yangtze River is developed and published by OMEGAMES STUDIO. As mentioned, it is detective game that takes inspiration from Ace Attorney.
The game is set in China during the 1900s and follows the story of the main character named John Shen. One day, his brother was found dead and the death was ruled as suicide. However, Shen eventually stumbles into a newly published detective novel that depicts a murder scene that is exactly like his brother's death.
Because of this, Shen begins to suspect foul play and that the writer of the novel has something to do with his brother's death. Shen then decides to head to China to uncover the truth.

Other Cases to Solve
While Murders on the Yangtze River does have a main story that you will have to go through, there are other cases featured in the game that you have to solve along the way. These cases will require you to investigate crime scenes, search for evidence, and even debate with suspects.
However, you will have help along the way. Your character has an assistant named Frankie, who has a number of technological inventions that will make your job easier to do.

As of press time, Murders on the Yangtze River has more than 9,500 user reviews on Steam. Steam describes these reviews as "Overwhelmingly Positive."
"A better Ace Attorney game than Ace Attorney, and probably the best episodic mystery game I've ever played," a Steam user named Chase says in a review.
"This game was a labor of love, and it shows," Chase adds. "The similarities to Ace Attorney are obvious, but Murders on the Yangtze River stands head and shoulders above other Ace Attorney-style games and even above the originals themselves."
"This game is beautifully crafted from start to end," arseu says in a separate review. "The story telling is amazing with its timing and combination of graphics, music and voice acting."
