Pinups Missing in Recent Update

According to reports from Kotaku, gamers on Reddit were the first to spot the disappearance of the pinup images from Tomb Raider 3's Sleeping with the Fishes level. While these posters were a part of the original game, they are now absent in the remastered version, puzzling many players. The change seems to have occurred with the latest update, released on April 11, although it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes.

The removal comes as a surprise, especially considering that shortly after the remastered trilogy's release, the official Tomb Raider website highlighted the pinups as a noteworthy detail for fans. Additionally, the remastered version opens with a disclaimer about potentially offensive content, with the developers opting to keep the game true to its original form.

Mixed Reactions and Accusations

The sudden disappearance of the pinups has sparked mixed reactions among players. While some argue that the removal is unnecessary censorship, others see it as a non-issue. Accusations have been hurled at Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics, the developers behind the remaster, with some players expressing disappointment at the lack of transparency regarding the change.

Whether intentional or accidental, this isn't the first time players have been left scratching their heads over the remastered trilogy. Discrepancies between versions on different platforms were noted by fans just last month.
