The Sims 4 just released its latest roadmap video that showcases the game's upcoming Season of Love which focuses on the love lives of Sims.
The latest roadmap comes as forming relationships has always been a core part of the life-simulation franchise since it was first released in 2000. The series has allowed players to create characters and have them form families with either their other creations or the various NPCs found in the game.
The Sims 4 New Roadmap
Since the original release, various expansions have focused on dating as a means to build this out from just the standard dialogue choices that players have when talking to other characters. The new roadmap video showed two new free stylist updates that will further customize a Sims' look to prepare for a date.
The new reveal also shows that dates can now take place at two new destination kits and adds a new flirtatious expansion pack. The roadmap video and accompanying page on The Sims 4 website did not elaborate further, according to ScreenRant.
However, it did encourage fans of the franchise to "check back soon for more updates" regarding the upcoming update. Also, the images that accompany the new destination kits also allude to a bar and a pool.

One thing that was not shown in the new roadmap video was when The Sims 4's Season of Love would actually start. The game's official website says that it is already "here," which suggests that it could be a Summer event that lasts between May and July. but the items and kits have not yet become available.
The two free updates say "Priming for passion: polished my look for a sultry splash" and one of them appears to be the game update that just launched. This includes new swimsuit swatches and some new color options for existing summer tops.
The Season of Love Update
On the other hand, the two new destination kits were accompanied by a clue that read, "The meeting: a little nectar led to a provocative plunge." It also featured two wine glasses, which suggests that it's a cafe setting of some sort, said PCGamer.
The new roadmap video comes as there have also been some recent Sims 4 pack leaks that look to match up with the new themes. One of these is a set of build-mode items for pool areas and the other is a sort of early 1900s-inspired set of bar decor with speakeasy vibes.
The new expansion also comes with a clue that reads, "Fountain of desire: made waves but we WooHoo'd anyway." It also came with a backdrop that looks like a charming city block around a fountain.
With all of the information that has been released to the public, it is safe to assume that the latest update was inspired by The Sims: Hot Date. This was the third expansion pack for the original game in the franchise that introduced the ability to go on dates.
But with the teasers that have been shown, the Season of Love update could be focused more on the "travel" part of Hot Date, according to GamesHub.
