Hunt: Showdown, the acclaimed PvEvP bounty hunting horror shooter from Crytek, will no longer support Xbox One and PlayStation 4 starting August 15. However, current owners can upgrade to the latest versions for free.

Major Update Brings New Features
Crytek's David Fifield confirmed the end date for PS4 and Xbox One support in a new video. He described the upcoming changes as a "significant relaunch of [the game] at a whole new level."
Once this update is live and running on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles," Fifield explained, "you will no longer be able to play on the older generations and will need to upgrade."
Hunt: Showdown's August update also promises several new features. These include an upgrade to CryEngine 5.11, a new event, a new map, and a new biome. Fifield mentioned that Crytek is "very committed" to sharing more about the update before its launch. The studio plans to release a series of videos over the next few months to provide more details.
Free Upgrade for Current Players
Affected Hunt: Showdown players are being offered a free upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S version starting 15th August. Player accounts, along with all related DLCs, will carry over once the transition is made.
Hunt: Showdown was fully launched in 2021 after spending a few years in early access.
