Street Fighter 6 Teases Return of M. Bison With New World Tour Quest

Street Fighter 6 Teases Return of M. Bison With New World Tour Quest

A new quest in Street Fighter 6's World Tour has hinted at the possible return of an iconic character in the franchise, M. Bison, despite his seemingly permanent death.

The character met his end at the hands of another character in the series, Ryu, who delivered a powerful blow. Their encounter ultimately led to M. Bison's body being destroyed, leaving him as Phantom Bison, which is his incorporeal form preserved through Psycho Power.

Street Fighter 6's Season 2 update added a new quest that seems to imply M. Bison's return in some form. It has players following the instructions of someone named "Foo," who is implied to be yet another alias for F.A.N.G, who is M. Bison's second-in-command during the events of Street Fighter 5.

It seems that the new World Tour quest is a continuation of a quest that was previously added to the Ed patch. What is worth noting is that the German fighter, who is also known as the Psycho-Powered Boxer, has connections to Neo Shadaloo and M. Bison, according to EventHubs.com

Foo gives players the mission of picking random fights in order to lure out a certain individual who is measuring the power outputs of fighters. This character apparently has some sort of connection to Neo Shadaloo.

The avatar eventually finds themselves at the Shadaloo base where they discover that some interesting documents are there. These list out persons of interest, specifically those with the potential to use Psycho Power, for the sake of potentially resurrecting M. Bison.

The potential candidates are later found to be located in Mexico, Egypt, Nayshall, and the Philippines. There are several reasons to suspect that Menat may be the candidate who hails from Egypt while Falke is the one who is in Nayshall.

The hints that suggest M. Bison's return come as there are many other characters that may be added to Street Fighter 6 in Season 2. Unlike the prior season, the roster this time around has not yet been officially confirmed said GameRant.

Other Potential Characters

Furthermore, director Takayuki Nakayama has only said that it would feature some "unexpected characters" and for fans, this could mean anyone. However, some have made educated guesses based on the new stages, in-game missions, and Nakayama's comments himself.

These include Menat, the Soul-Powered Soothsayer, Falke, The Guardian Hawk, Urlen, The Treacherous Disciple, and a new Philippine character, among others. A very speculative choice for an upcoming Season 2 character is Crimson Viper, who is long overdue for a return to the franchise.

The hype around the fighting game franchise comes as a live-action adaptation reboot has finally gotten an update in the form of a new logo. The new image was unveiled at the Las Vegas Licensing Expo and looks pretty much similar to the ones found in the games.

The new image from the reboot seems to have been pulled right out from the original Capcom fighter game as it has the words pasted on a brick wall. The film has reportedly been in development since April 2023, which is when it was first announced, according to GamesRadar.
