Capcom's "Resident Evil Requiem" has its fair share of hype and anticipation from fans. Now, a new trailer may be on its way to the upcoming The Game Awards.
'Resident Evil Requiem' New Trailer Coming via The Game Awards
The Game Awards' host, Geoff Keighley, has recently revealed that "Resident Evil Requiem" will be making an appearance in the upcoming showcase via his recent post on X.
While this is not exactly a confirmation that a trailer is on the way, it is being speculated by the likes of ComicBook Gaming.
ComicBook Gaming argues that The Game Awards has long been a haven for new games to be unveiled or trailers to be showcased. The expectations of a new trailer also stem from Keighley's post, which stated that a "terrifying new look" for the upcoming "Resident Evil Requiem" is coming during the event.
There are no speculations on what specific things are to be expected once "Resident Evil Requiem" and Capcom take the stage in The Game Awards on December 11, streaming live at 4:30 p.m. PST (7:30 p.m. ET).

What to Expect From Capcom, 'Resident Evil Requiem'
This "terrifying new look" for "Resident Evil Requiem" has already been hyping up fans for The Game Awards, and many are expecting massive revelations during the event.
According to ComicBook Gaming, this could potentially be a segue into the large event Capcom has announced earlier this year, centering on a "Resident Evil Showcase" that will take place in 2026.
In the past months, fans and players have greatly speculated about how the game would turn out, as well as who the returning characters from the main franchise would be. Devs previously confirmed that Leon Kennedy would join the game, but not as a main character.
Capcom is bringing fans back to the roots of the franchise as it will explore the remnants of Raccoon City after the Umbrella Corporation incident amidst the emergence of a new threat. Developers previously claimed that the game would pay homage to the original game, as well as honor those who have perished during the initial outbreak of the T-virus in the city.
"Resident Evil Requiem" is set for its February 27, 2026, release date, coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows PC.
