'Resident Evil' Showcase Set for January 15

Capcom announced an upcoming "Resident Evil" Showcase via a new video on their YouTube page, which confirms the January 15 date. The gaming studio shared that there will be more "Resident Evil Requiem" announcements in the upcoming event.

The event is expected to go live via their YouTube channel and official "Resident Evil" Showcase website this Thursday at 2 p.m. Pacific Time (5 p.m. EST), featuring the game's director, Koshi Nakanishi, and more.

The video only shared 10 seconds worth of footage of the game, offering a glimpse of what specific part of the game will be further discussed by the team. In the short clip, it showed Grace Ashcroft, the game's protagonist, grabbing a gun and then going off to fight infected individuals she comes across inside a massive old house.

There were no previews pertaining to Leon S. Kennedy in this teaser announcement from Capcom, but it is expected that more information about him will be shared soon.

Capcom's Surprise Event: What to Expect

According to Capcom, the upcoming "Resident Evil" Showcase will deliver a 12-minute special that will give more information and dive deeper into "Resident Evil Requiem."

The showcase, as mentioned before, may focus more on Grace as, according to GameRant, the short clip included in the announcement may get a more expanded version come the event.

There is still a lot more to discuss about "Resident Evil Requiem," particularly specific information like gameplay footage and more. Additionally, fans are yet to find out who the main antagonist or villain in the upcoming game will be.

That said, Leon Kennedy's previous confirmation as the second main character of the game may also be a topic in the upcoming showcase, with Capcom possibly discussing his role and what to expect from him.
