Pokémon is not yet in its Generation 10 era, but a game is already making waves despite not yet being released is none other than "Pokémon Pokopia," its upcoming life simulation game.
The Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive sim game is already garnering significantly positive reviews from early hands-on experiences, and it is now the highest-rated "Pokémon" game in the franchise's entire history.
'Pokémon Pokopia' Now the Highest-Rated Pokémon Game
GameRant reported that "Pokémon Pokopia" is already making a name for itself based on Metacritic's website, and this is because the life simulation game is now the highest-rated title in the franchise.
Based on the Metacritic Average Score of every "Pokémon" game in the franchise, "Pokémon Pokopia" ranks the highest as it has a 89 score, which surpasses the other titles in the list.
The game may only be a one-score higher compared to the previously highest rated title in the franchise, "Pokémon Y," which received a score of 88, but it is an incredible feat for a different genre title.
In the rankings collated by GameRant, all the other games ranked in the list are all in the action RPG genre, with the likes of "Pokémon HeartGold," "Pokémon Black," "Pokémon Pearl," and more.
'Pokémon Pokopia' Performs Well Despite Not Yet Being Released
"Pokémon Pokopia" is set to release on March 5 worldwide exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2 platform, and it is already performing well among early reviewers.
The game is best known for drawing comparisons to the likes of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley" for delivering a cozy life and farm simulation game, but in "Pokopia's" case, it is set in the world of Pokémon.
A previous leak revealed that "Pokémon Pokopia" will have at least 300 Pokémon in its Pokedex, which means it will have a bigger pool compared to another spinoff game, "Pokémon Legends: Z-A."
"Pokémon Pokopia" is also the first "Pokémon" game to not be available on the first-generation Nintendo Switch consoles.
