Wolfenstein: The New Order Hits Torrents A Week Before Release

Good news for owners of jailbroken PlayStation 3s, but bad news for Bethesda, as said version of Wolfenstein: The New Order has been leaked.

"Collateral" has taken credit for the leak, and the game can be found on a multitude of different torrent sites. We won't link to any of the torrents here. Just make sure you have a spare 18.3 GB of space and a willingness to be flippant of the face of Bethesda and Johnny Lawman. Rebel rebel.

What's more, according to DSOgaming, the Xbox 360 version will be leaked "soon." Thanks to Steam DRM, the PC version has yet to go down a similar path, as the game will have to at least be unlocked first.

First Screens For Wolfenstein: The New Order Show Mechanical Monstrosities

Like many other games, when New Order does release, there will be a truly massive day one patch for the game on all platforms.

The particulars of the patch and what it does haven't yet been revealed, but it's likely a lot, as the patch is quite sizable. We can confirm that the PS4 patch is a hefty 5 GBs and takes quite a while to download, while the Xbox One patch has been revealed to be even bigger at 7.3 GB.

That's in addition to the regular size requirements for the game, with the latest Sony and Microsoft consoles requiring 47 GB of space, and 50 GB for the PC. Meanwhile, the PS3 and 360 version will need 8 GB of space, and the PSN download requires 17 GB.

It's been five years since the last Wolfenstein game hit the scene, developed by Raven Sofware. New Order is Bethesda's first go at the franchise since parent company ZeniMax purchased id Software in 2009. It will be the first Wolfenstein title to not take place during WWII, opting instead for the 60's of an alternate timeline in which the Nazis emerged from the war victorious. Players again control longtime protagonist B.J. Blackowicz, now an amnesiac that's been living in an asylum for more than a decade. Despite his memory loss, he's the only OSA operative that can launch an "impossible" counter-offensive against the Nazi powers that have taken over the world.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is currently scheduled for a May 20 release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and 360. Check out the reveal trailer below.
