'FIFA 14' Ultimate Team: Combined Team Of The Season For Premier League, La Liga, And Other Top Leagues Revealed

FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Combined Team of the Season For Top European Leagues Released

EA Sports has released the FIFA 14 combined Team of the Season for Ultimate Team. The developers have created Team of the Season versions of best players from the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and La Liga to release into purchasable card packs.

FUT World Cup Player Ratings Ranked 20 Through 11

No players from outside the world's top five leagues named above have been selected to the TotS, making this a true best of the best. The majority of the overall ratings of these cards fall between 86 and 92, with some depth players in the lower 80's and high outliers like Messi and Ronaldo at 97 (deservedly so).

The starting XI pictured above is star-studded, of course, though has a few odd inclusions. I'm not sure why Marco Reus is starting in central midfield as an attacking player, for example, but I suppose the actual lineup pictured might not have gotten as much thought as the overall selection.

The full list of players that made the Team of the Season is as follows: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robert Lewandowski, Luis Suarez, Diego Costa, Daniel Sturridge, Immobile, Arjen Robben, James Rodriguez, Marco Reus, Yaya Toure, Paul Pogba, Aaron Ramsey, Giorgio Chiellini, Felipe Luis, Benatia, Diego Godin, Marko Baša, Serge Aurier, Ömer Toprak, Thibaut Courtois and Bernd Leno.

These are all among the best players in the world, even if there are some exclusions necessary due to a number limit and balance. If I had to pick one player, I would say that Benatia's 90 overall rating is a bit generous, and not having Thiago Silva, Ramos or Pique in the team instead is a bit strange. All of that said, good luck getting some of these players in your packs when they go live later today.
