'Sunet Overdrive' Weapons: Newly Revealed Arsenal Includes Bear-Launching TNTeddy & Record-Shooting High Fidelity [VIDEO]

New Sunet Overdrive Weapons Revealed: Includes The Bear-Launching TNTeddy & Record-Shooting High Fidelity

Insomniac Games has released a new video for its Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive focusing on some of the game's zany and powerful weapons.

Check Out The First Gameplay Footage Of Sunset Overdrive

We first saw a CGI video of Sunset Overdrive at last year's E3, and then were given no further updates for months. Over the past few weeks, though, the developers began showing off the game, including the first footage of in-game graphics. Since then, we've gotten more details on what we'll see in the title, including today's gun update.

An Insomniac employee appears in the video to tell us about the weapons alongside footage of the arsenal in action. The studio has always prided itself on its whacky collection of guns and weapons, he explains, and the team thinks it has created its best array yet.

Sunset Overdrive Xbox One Exclusivity Not About The Money According To Developers

The record-shooting High Fidelity appeared in the original pre-rendered video, and now we get a look at how it works in the actual game. The records have a ricochet feature that makes them bounce around the environment when launched, potentially taking out multiple foes. We also see the TNTeddy, which launches bundles of dynamite that each have a plush teddy bear attached. You might think it could function just the same without the teddy attached, and you'd be right, but the explosions are shaped like the toy's head, so why not?

The host also answers a couple of questions from fans, and won't commit to what the next video from Sunset TV will focus on, since the team changed their minds from the last video to this one, originally planning to reveal character customization. Perhaps they decided to hold off on new features prior to E3, because the High Fidelity and TNTeddy had already made cameos in the previous videos. Either way, keep an eye out here for more from Sunset TV and any details that emerge from E3.
