'Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX' Release Date: E3 2014 Trailer Offers Teaser For 'Kingdom Hearts 3' [VIDEO]

'Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX' E3 Trailer Puts You Inside The Magic Kingdom

In anticipation of next week's E3, Disney and Square have released a stunning new trailer for their upcoming PS3 remake of several titles in the Kingdom Hearts franchise named Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix. They've also given the game an official release date of December 5 2014.

New Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Screenshots

The trailer opens with several moments from the original Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, serving as a 'greatest hits' reel before segueing into "key highlights, scenarios and gameplay from Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix and cinematics from Kingdom Hearts: Re:coded. All three games are remastered with HD graphics that update and bring these classic titles to life on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system."

Together with Donald and Goofy, Sora adventures through different Disney worlds like Halloween Town (The Nightmare Before Christmas), The Land of Dragons (Mulan), Port Royal (Pirates of the Caribbean), Pride Lands (Lion King), Space Paranoids (Tron), and many more to stand up against the Heartless and the evil Organization XIII. Who needs the Magic Kingdom? It's hot, muggy and filled with other people. You can get the same experience and save the day right at home on your PS3.

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.28 Update

Kingdom Hearts III has been long rumored, but there has been little word on its progress recently. stay until the end of the trailer, though, as KH III is teased ever so slightly. Hopefully with E3 staring us down, Square will be announcing some news on that. In the meantime, though, we will have to content ourselves with Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, which does not feel like a consolation prize to me.
