The rumored Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been officially announced by Microsoft at its E3 press conference, bringing remastered versions of Halo 1 through 4 on one disc for Xbox One.

The titles will all run in 1080p 60fps on dedicated severs, and will include 100 maps--all of those ever released for the Halo games. The Master Chief Collection will release on November 11, and also grants you access to the Halo 5 beta, which will kick off December 5.

Halo 2 Anniversary has been rumored for a while, and will be part of this release rather than its own title. The package is incredible news for Halo fans, especially those in the competitive scene, who have seen the franchise dwindle in relevance over recent years.
