Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Coming To PS4 In 1080p, Watch It Here

Sony saved one big title for last at its E3 conference yesterday, revealing Uncharted 4: A Thief's End with a trailer just before the show wrapped up for the night.

Uncharted is one of PlayStation's largest franchises, and A Thief's End will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 in 1080p. The trailer, below, is entirely in-engine graphics, even though it looks like pre-rendered CG. It's impressive, and according to a post on the PlayStation blog, Naughty Dog is targeting 60fps to go along with the sharp resolution.

"The next generation of Nathan Drake is going to be very real and will explore what it means when Drake is forced back into the world of thieves," Naughty Dog Community Strategist Eric Monacelli. "He will embark on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. It's his greatest adventure yet and will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves."

The actual game footage isn't likely to look just like the trailer, as live gameplay is different than creating a predetermined scene with the graphics engine. It should be somewhere in the same ballpark, however, which means a very good-looking title is on the way from Naughty Dog.

The trailer narration says Drake will be adventuring "one last time", though I have a hard time believing this will be the last of the Uncharted series. Check out the trailer for yourself below and let us know what you think.
