'Dragon Ball Xenoverse' Screens Show New Character, 4-Player Multiplayer Battles?

Fans are highly anticipating the first next-gen Dragon Ball Z game, Xenoverse, which looks to take full advantage of the additional processing power provided by the Xbox One and PS4, but it looks like they'll be getting even more than expected. Bandai Namco has been teasing a brand new character for the series.

The redheaded character was only seen from behind and we could only infer from the few details we could see. He was wearing what appeared to be Trunk's clothes and was wearing a scouter, but otherwise there were no other clues to his idenitity. The lack of explanation caused some gamers to think that this was the reveal of a character creator included in the game, but Bandai Namco's insistance on this character playing a large role in the game's story have only stressed his importance.

One thing is obvious from these new screens- it seems that he's from the future as well. He's seen talking with Trunks, both of them wearing their Capsule Corp clothes, and he's also been spotted getting involved with some of the biggest and most iconic battles in the series' history.

Another exciting thing that the screens have revealed is that the game will apparently support more than just one-on-one battles, as we see four players battling it out at once.

Whatever the case may be, this is easily the best-looking Dragon Ball game ever made, and while we don't have a release date confirmed just yet, this is likely to be the closest to recreating the show that anyone ever has gotten. With Dragon Ball Z Budokai developer Dimps on duty we know that the game will play as well as it looks, too.

More as we hear it!
