'No Man's Sky' News: VIDEO Offers A Deeper Look At Exploration & Combat Game

No Man's Sky Developer Interview Reveals Development Process, Vision for Exciting Indie Title

No Man's Sky was undoubtedly one of the stars of E3, just as it was at VGX when the indie title made its debut. We know more about the game now than we did before courtesy of several interviews and gameplay clips released during and since E3, but some of the details are (intentionally) still a mystery.

Destiny Beta For Xbox One And Xbox 360 Launch Time Frame Revealed In Trailer

On Friday, the PlayStation Blog posted a video that offers a deeper look into the exciting title, and the small studio that's bringing it to life.

You can watch the video below, which features plenty of commentary from Hello Games founder Sean Murray. The tiny team (just four members) has embarked on this incredibly ambitious project--the game they always wanted to make.

Super Smash Bros Mii Fighter Playing Style Will Be Determined By Miis' Heights

Bringing it to life has proven difficult, something they weren't even sure they could pull off, but they have been succeeding in spite of the challenges. This includes the massive flood that occurred at the team's office, which damaged most of their belongings and set development back.

Murray is clearly very passionate about the project, an idea the developers want to see through to fruition in all of its procedurally generated glory, "not just as a tech demo". There will be exploration, combat, and plenty to see in No Man's Sky--hopefully the gameplay provides entertainment.

It's not quite clear at this stage what exactly you can do in the game, but with what Hello Games shown so far, it's not unreasonable to place faith in the team to deliver something worth playing--we'll have to wait and see.
