‘Assassin’s Creed 6’ Rumors: Ubisoft Quebec Replacing Montreal, Jobs In Gaming Now Available There!

Ubisoft Québec Takes Montreal’s Place In The Animus – And You Can Join

The sixth game in the main Assassin's Creed series will be developed by a Québec rather than a Montreal studio, an Ubisoft blog confirms.

Tossed away like poor old Desmond Miles, Ubisoft Montreal will be sitting the next AC game out, or so senior communications manager Gary Steinman announces on his blog. Montreal will continue to be the main studio for other future entries, however, a spokesperson reported. Unfortunately, nothing was as of yet pried from the Québecois regarding the game's setting or protagonist, but perhaps their previous involvement in the series might give you some food for speculation.

"We were involved in Brotherhood. We were involved in Revelations. We were involved in Assassin's Creed III. With AC III we were working on the biggest DLC for the franchise - The Tyranny of King Washington. After that we were also involved with Freedom Cry. We have the confidence of the brand team and also from Ubisoft to take leadership of an upcoming Assassin's Creed title. The team is ready for the next big step", says Nicholas Rioux, Managing Director of Ubisoft Québec.
