'Borderlands The Pre-Sequel' E3 Walkthrough Video, Upcoming Title Could Get Xbox One And PS4 Support [VIDEO]
E3 may have been last month, but news and other goodies are still trickling out of the annual entertainment exposition. 2K Games has just released to the public its 14 minute Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! walkthrough.
The video is narrated by Joel Eschler from 2K Australia and James Lopez, an associate producer at Gearbox, the company responsible for the Borderlands franchise. The guys play through as Wilhelm, one of the upcoming playable characters and show off a little of the Moon, where the game will take place. Low gravity levels and games strike a chord with me, so watching them bounce around higher and higher and clearing huge gaps in a single bound like Superman puts a warm smile on my face.
True to Borderlands, the footage is impressive looking. The cel-shading adds the perfect hint of whimsy, which is further enhanced by the usual cheeky dialog and character design. Not every game has to be grim'n'gritty and Borderlands realizes this and has built its success on having fun.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! takes place between Borderlands 1 and 2 and details Handsome Jack's descent into villainy. The game will introduce brand new maps and new weapons, including the cryoguns which will allow you to freeze your enemies and then shatter them like Prince Robyn shattered Sansa's snow castle.
The game will hit the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 14. If we keep clamoring, Gearbox may change its tune. Borderlands 3, however...
