‘Epigenesis’ Game Release Date Announced: 'Boba Fett Playing Quidditch' Flies Out Of Steam Early Access [NEW TRAILER]

Epigenesis: Rollerball For A New Generation?

Dead Shark Triplepunch has announced their cybernetic ball game Epigenesis' official Steam release date after a lengthy Early Access period.

Shadowrun Online Hits Steam Early Access

Starting Friday, August 1, you'll be able to pit your teams of Boba Fetts (Boba Fauxs?) against each other in a high-tension game of Epigenesis, the futuristic Rollerball-alike in the eponymous game, where ball possession and shooting each other in the face with lasers has about an equal value. Think Quidditch with Mandalorians. The latest update sees the addition of three new maps, a new queueing system for greater ease of match-finding, and several new game modes: GranArena, MixedArena and LegacyArena.

Epigenesis is the brainchild of developer Dead Shark Triplepunch, winner of Epic Games' 2013 "Make Something Unreal Live 2013" tournament. Contrary to what you may think, they did not win any awards for Best Studio Name. The good judges at Epic Games even gave them high praise for Epigenesis being a good contender for future eSports tournaments!

And to heart these Game of the Year award winners* took it. According to a press release, the good fellows at Dead Shark Triplepunch (I can't stop typing that out in full) teamed up with Cooler Master to set up an Epigenesis tournament for European teams, with prizes from Cooler Master's array of keyboards, mice, PC chassis, coolers and power supplies. Good stuff! Keep an eye on their official site for more info as it is released and check out the new trailer below.
