World Cup Predictions Germany vs Argentina: FIFA 14 Simulates Winner Of The 2014 Final

FIFA 14 Simulates Winner Of The 2014 World Cup Final Between Germany And Argentina

There's only one match left in the 2014 World Cup with the final set for tomorrow, a bittersweet fact for football fans who have been enjoying one of the most dramatic and high-scoring competitions ever held.

Which Team Did FIFA 14 Predict To Win The Third Place Match?

An exciting and upset-filled group stage gave way to the somewhat more slowly-paced knockout rounds, which reached a climax in Germany's 7-1 demolition of the hosts Brazil. The European side moves on to face Argentina tomorrow, who have proven stubborn so far if not hugely impressive.

As has been the case through the tournament, I have been simulating the fixtures using FIFA 14's World Cup mode, which is updated to reflect the form and performances of each squad. Luckily for football fans looking for entertainment in tomorrow's game, FIFA 14 predicts an exciting 2-2 match, which will end with a German victory in penalties.

Key Players For The Dutch And Brazil According To FIFA 14 Attributes

Klose scored first for Germany just six minutes in, but Higuain equalized 15 minutes later with a nice finish at a sharp angle. Both players would score again, incredibly, Klose (extending his all-time World Cup scoring record) slotting home a neat Mueller flick at the 29 minute mark while Higuain scored from the same spot as his first 11 minutes later. Nobody could score in the second half, and a bizarre penalty shootout with plenty of misses resulted in a German win.

I hope the match is as exciting as this simulation, though I wouldn't personally expect as many goals. My bet is a German win by one or two goals, perhaps 2-0 or 2-1, but you can never know for sure--it's why they play the games.
