These Stunning New 'Batman: Arkham Knight' Screens Reveal Tanks Attacking Gotham, The Dark Knight Fighting Before His SDCC Appearance

'Batman: Arkham Knight' Stunning New Screens Hit Before The Dark Knight Descends On SDCC

If you're not already convinced that Batman: Arkham Knight is going to be the best Batman game yet, Rocksteady has some wonderful new toys to show you.

I mean, at this point you're probably on board. The more we see of this game, the first next-gen installment in the Arkham Knight series, the better it looks. Batman: Arkham City was a step down in quality from Batman: Arkham Knight, but Rocksteady has been working on this, their third installment in the series, for quite a while. They even delayed its release till next year to make it better, which shows that they're taking the game very seriously.

The official Batman: Arkham Knight Facebook page has been releasing new photos all week in anticipation of the game's appearance at the San Diego Comic Con, where they will be not only showing off the game but selling a limited-edition Dark Knight statue, taken from his appearance in Batman: Arkham Origins. It's a younger, less assured Batman, but no less badass-looking.

As you can see, the game seems to be taking full advantage of the new hardware. Batman has brooded in the rain before, but he's never looked quite this agonized before. Even the way the light glints off the baterangs!

The captions reveal a little more of the story, including just what the heck Batman is doing with that insane new Batmobile. Have you seen that thing? It's got more guns than exist in the whole city, way more than people complained about when he destroyed half of the city in The Dark Knight. A tank like that requires enemies on equal footing and it seems like Batman will be getting it- at some point tanks will apparently attack the city. Fortunately, you are who you are.

Expect to hear much more about Batman: Arkham Knight this weekened at the SDCC, and in the months to come until its release.
