Super Smash Bros 4 News And Details: Daily Post Reveals 3DS Main Menu And Bottom Screen Extra Info [IMAGES]
The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details will keep coming from Nintendo ahead of the staggered release of both versions, even after all the excitement from E3.
The title will be out for 3DS on October 3, as Nintendo announced at the gaming conference, and this holiday season on Wii U. A specific release date for the console version will likely be forthcoming as winter approaches, but Nintendo has plenty of time to make that announcement.
Several new characters and other details were revealed at E3 as expected, including the unveiling of Lady Palutena, Pac-man, Mr. Game & Watch, and the Mii Fighters. Even after these major announcements, though, series director Masahiro Sakurai will continue to give us comparatively smaller details through the official site in the form of a daily picture update.
The 3DS gets the attention once again today, as Sakurai has chosen to reveal the main menu for the handheld version of the game, which you can see above. He also provided an extra image in the comments, where he continued his explanation:
"For the first time ever, I present to you...the main menu for the 3DS version!! The icons are even animated. The design concept may look similar if you've played other games I've worked on. But we had a hard time making this one because...
"The bottom screen displays pictures matching each mode! This was quite a task for the UI (User Interface) designers, but they made it happen. Kudos to them! You can tap the screen to look up additional info like how to play--complete with diagrams."
Keep checking back for more Super Smash Bros. news each day, where we'll hopefully see new character reveals or a Wii U release date.
