New Star Trek Video Game to come out Q1 2013 Alongside Film

Namco announced that the Star Trek Game will come out alongside the new J.J Abrams Star Trek film in Q1 of 2013. This is beyond prediction.

The game focuses on Kirk and Spock as they try to prevent a legendary enemy race bent on from conquering the galaxy. The original story of the game is written by BAFTA award winner and God of War writer Marianne Krawczyk together with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, Star Trek's film writers and producers. As the ultimate co-op experence,the Star Trek game will let players control Kirk and Spock in a sweeping travelling of epic proportions across unknown galaxies to confront enemy battleships with futuristic weapons.

LeeAnne Stables, Paramount Pictures Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Partnerships and head of the studio's video game unit commented, "With our Namco Bandain partners leading the distribution effort, we are confident that we will meet an overwhelming demand to get this exciting console experience into the hands of gamers and Star Trek fans worldwide, the positive response from our initial unveiling at E3 last year was unprecedented, and we are fortunate to have the highest level of production and creative talent on our team that will bring this incredible game out to market next year."

There is much excitement and expectations for the new game as it rides the coat tails of Abram's next Star Trek movie release.
