Assassin's Creed Rogue Set To Release In November; May Be The Final Current Generation Entry Into Popular Stealth Franchise; New Leaked Footage [VIDEO]

Assassin's Creed Rogue May Be The Last Current Gen Entry In The Franchise

Assassin's Creed fans who were are a little bummed that no new title was coming to the current generation of consoles, fret no more. Box art obtained via the Assassin's Creed site confirms that a new title, Assassin's Creed Rogue, will be hitting the Xbox 360 this November 11.

Assassin's Creed Memories F2P Card Game Coming To iOS

A PS3 version is bound to be announced soon. The images come from the website's own Access to the Animus gallery archive. Rogue was in development under the name Assassin's Creed Comet and will bring back the popular and fun sea and ship mechanic from Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. A clip, obtained by Eurogamer, suggests a wintery, Arctic locale and that the main character will not be an Assassin, but rather a Templar. You can briefly see him dispatching one of the hooded mystics in the trailer below.

Given the locales, there is no confirmation that the game will have any connection to the revolution-based Assassin's Creed Unity, due out this year, too.

Unity Gets Its First Female Assassin, Elise

Unity is a next gen only title, available exclusively for the Xbox One and PS4. Rogue will represent the last of the current gen entries into the franchise if history holds true.

According to Eurogamer, "Like last year's Assassin's Creed 4, Rogue will have DLC add-ons with further customisation options. The Ultimate Hunter Pack, for example, is set to include new weapons, ship sails and a ship wheel. There's also a mission involving the Siege of Fort de Sable." Which in strictly historical terms was the battle equivalent of losing your power for two days.

Watch the leaked trailer below. A more polished version, plus an official announcement should be made soon.
