Borderlands The Pre-Sequel Gamescom Trailer Highlights Claptrap, New Playable Characters; Save The Moon With Nisha And Her Band Of Misfits [VIDEO]

Come With Me Now: The Borderlands Pre Sequel Gamescom Trailer Highlights Your Band Of Misfits

The news from Gamescom came fast and unexpected. Once relegated to curiosity, it's clear that the annual convention will be a major PR event for the studios to announce a lot of things. 2K was on hand to show off the new trailer for the upcoming entry into the Borderlands franchise, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

Until Dawn Trailer Is A Horror Movie For Your PS4

The new trailer gets us acquainted with our "heroes". I of course use the term lightly as a group of mercenary thugs working for Handsome Jack cannot rightly be called "the good guys". As crowd favorite Nisha comments in the 90 second trailer, "we aren't even close to being the good guys."

But bad guys can do the right thing every now and then and our four intrepid Vault Hunters have teamed up for a good cause: save the moon. Considering the state the moon is in the second Borderlands game, I guess they succeeded? Certainly better than having a destroyed moon, I suppose.

DayZ Coming To PS4!

Set to the insanely catchy 'Come With Me Now' by KONGOS, the trailer sheds a little light onto our protagonists. The four playable characters are: Nisha the Lawbringer, Athena the Gladiator, Wilhelm the Enforcer, and Claptrap the Fragtrap. Nisha, of course, is Handsome Jack's doomed girlfriend from Borderlands 2. Wilhelm was HJ's bodyguard and Athena was part of the DLC pack The Secret Armory Of General Knoxx.

Claptrap remains...Claptrap. He endures, like he always does.

If you find yourself at Gamescom, you can finally get your mitts on a playable version.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! hits PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 14. Pre-order and receive the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit bonus content, which rewards unique in-game loot to players who succeed against the moon's fiercest enemies.
