FIFA 14 Cheats: EA Sports Declares Crack Down On Ultimate Team Coin Bots Ahead Of FIFA 15, Will Permanently Ban Accounts

EA Sports Declares Crack Down On FIFA Cheaters, Will Permanently Ban Accounts In FIFA 15 And 14

EA Sports is cracking down on FIFA 14 cheaters in a big way with FIFA 15 ahead, targeting those in particular who manipulate the Ultimate Team coin system and ruin the experience for others.

In a post on the EA's FIFA website, the developers outlined the types of cheating that goes on in-game, and explained at length what they intend to do to stop the exploiting the system.

"Although they are a minority amongst FIFA fans, cheaters disrupt the gameplay experience and enjoyment for honest FIFA fans in a number of ways," the post states. "These include things like overloading servers, phishing and compromising other player accounts, and participating in the unauthorized exchange of virtual currency. It's time for us to draw a clear and strong line against cheaters who negatively impact the FIFA experience for our millions of players online."

Some cheaters employ bots to automatically purchase items on the Ultimate Team Transfer Market and farm coins intended for sale, often in return for real money on coin exchange websites. EA shut down the transfer market to investigate the bot activity and its effects, and determined that they can make four times as many searches as all of the FUT human players combined.

This results in stuck transactions, missing coins, and other issues for players. Coin buying and selling is against EA's rules, and they have and will ban accounts involved. Your first transgression will result in a warning, the second a FUT club reset, and the third a permanent FIFA online ban. If you're found guilty of coin farming, you immediately be banned from online features in all EA titles.

Other cheaters--those manipulating PC matches, boosting Pro Club player stats, and others--will also receive a permanent ban. You can read more in depth descriptions of the issues and solutions on the official post linked above.
