Legend of Korra Martial Arts Game Release Date Announced, Pro Bending Mode Included
Nickelodeon's The Legend Of Korra is coming to consoles and PC this fall, and we now know exactly when you'll be able to fight the forces of darkness by using the four elements as Avatar Korra.
Without further ado: The Legend of Korra drops on October 21 on PlayStation Network and PC (October 22 for Europe), and October 22 on the Xbox Marketplace.
After you've finished the game's main campaign, a pretty sweet looking beat-em-up switched up by endless runner bonus levels as you ride Korra's polar bear dog Naga, you unlock pro-bending mode.
In the Avatar universe, professional benders (not the robot kind) compete in teams of three against each other in the hope of knocking the other team off an elevated platform in the middle of an arena using their elemental powers (air, water, earth, fire - only the Avatar can master all four elements). Since The Legend of Korra is a single player game, it's a bit of a shame that this team sport that would lend itself perfectly to on- and offline multiplayer will not be able to be enjoyed by a group of friends.
Voice actors Janet Varney (Korra), David Faustino (Mako) and P.J. Byrne (Bolin) are part of the game, and it is set in between the couple of in-universe weeks between seasons 2 and 3 respectively known as Book 2: Spirits and Book 3: Change.
