The developers at The Creative Assembly have announced a large consolidation of all Total War: Rome II content into a new version of the game, the Emperor Edition.
The Creative Assembly Releases Both Free And Paid Rome II Unit Packs
The update--free and automatically downloaded for those who already own the game--consists of all the patches and free content released so far, in addition to new features. An entire Campaign Pack expansion, Imperator Augustus, will be included as well.

The other new additions offered in Emperor Edition include an improved politics system, overhauled building chains, rebalanced battles, and improved visuals on both the campaign map and in battles. Other features that were updated into the game through past patches include Twitch integration, touch controls, new units, and many gameplay and optimization fixes--all part of Emperor Edition. There is now a Mac version of the title, as well.
"With the Imperator Augustus Campaign Pack, we wanted to recreate the vast civil war which erupted after Julius Caesar's murder," said Jack Lusted, Development Lead of the studio's New Content Team. "You can tackle the campaign as various Roman and non-Roman factions, including Armenia for the first time. Our aim was to represent the titanic power struggle that led to Octavian becoming the first Emperor of Rome. It's a pretty epic campaign, and it's great that we can offer this to existing Rome II players for free as a thanks for their support".
