Star Wars 7 Casting Update: Game Of Thrones Swordsmaster Joins JJ Abrams Episode

What Do We Say To The Dark Side? Not Today! Star Wars Gains A Swordsmaster

Game of Thrones' Arya Stark certainly could not have gotten through the wilds of Westeros' war-torn riverlands and wildling infested Moon Mountains without the training of water dancing master Syrio Forel, former First Sword of Braavos. The diminutive swordsmaster's actor, Miltos Yerolemou has now been cast in Star Wars: Episode VII.

Dragon Age: Inquisition To Have Zombie Unicorn Mounts

Affable fellow and real-life swordsmaster Yerolemou (he'll even teach con-goers some fancy moves as he has done for the last two editions of Nine Worlds Geekfest in London) is not expected to have a very big role (sorry), according to the BBC. Last time they were starting a new Star Wars trilogy and they hired a tiny martial artist, we got Ray Park as Darth Maul. Say all you want about the prequel trilogy, but Maul was pretty cool.

With the new movies rumored to have "Inquisitors" as the baddies, it's not unlikely Yerolemou is playing one of them. Like Maul, it's also not unlikely that he may just have one or two lines - though I certainly hope they get someone else to dub Yerolemou's lines like they did with Maul, who was voiced by Peter Serafinowicz, Guardians of the Galaxy's jerk space pilot- such passion in that accent!

With Miltos Yerolemou and Gwendoline Christie now both in Star Wars, who knows what other Game of Thrones alumni might join for the rest of the movies! Plenty of doomed starpilots for Sean Bean to be cast as.
