Dance Central Spotlight Releases On Xbox One, DLC From Previous Games Will Be Allowed To Carry Over

Kinect-Powered Dancing Goes New-Gen With Dance Central Spotlight On Xbox One

After four years of faithfully serving the Xbox 360 and the original Kinect, the Dance Central franchise crossed the generational gap and landed on the Xbox One and Kinect 2.0 this week with Dance Central Spotlight.

Xbox Announces Standalone Kinect 2.0 For $150

Unlike previous games in the series, Dance Central Spotlight is only available for download over the Xbox Games Store for the Xbox One. The base game comes with 10 songs ready to go, each with eight separate dance routines for a total of 80 possible routines right from the start. Who knew there were so many ways to dance to Lorde and Avicii?

Players are also able to download new songs from the game's DLC catalogue for $1.99 a song. If you've purchased previous DLC songs for another Dance Central game, though, you'll be able to redownload them for Dance Central Spotlight for no extra charge as they get ported to the new system. As of now, the catalog contains around 50 songs for sale with many more on the way.

Limited Edition Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare 1TB Xbox One Announced

The base game includes songs from hit artists like Rihanna, Jason Derulo and Pharrell Williams. DLC songs include selections from newer radio starlets like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato as well as older throwback groups like TLC, A-Ha and The B-52s. The full selection of artists and songs can be found over on Harmonix's website.

You can download the base game now for $9.99. Dance Central Spotlight is also included with a purchase of that new standalone Kinect 2.0 that was announced not too long ago.
