The Witcher Battle Arena News: Free-To-Play Mobile MOBA Enters Closed Beta, Offers Eight Heroes And Two Levels

The Free-To-Play Witcher MOBA For Mobiles Just Entered A Closed Beta

The next numbered entry in CD Projekt RED's Witcher franchise won't be released until February, but fans may have something to keep them occupied until then. The Witcher Battle Arena free-to-play mobile MOBA entered closed beta today.

Sign-ups for the closed beta are still available here, though the beta is currently only available to Android users. The game itself, however, is planned to come out for Android, iOS and Windows Phones.

Eight heroes are currently available in the beta to fight on two maps: the Nilfgaard Arena and Korath Desert. According to the developers, the current beta is focusing on character balance, among other technical concerns. So if you're one of the lucky few who gets into the closed beta, do all fans a favor and try to find the spammiest, most frustrating way to win every time. Everyone will benefit in the long run.

Among the combatants fighting it out in the arena are powerful mages, silent assassins, a dragon disguised as a human and an unnamed golem, a good sense of variety for a relatively modest cast of eight heroes. The beta has testers playing the game's Conquest Mode, in which two teams of three fight over control points. When one team secures more areas than the other, the losing side begins forfeit points. The first team to lose all points loses the match.

The Witcher Battle Arena was designed with mobile devices in mind and, as such, focuses on providing quick but intense action so fans can play a brief match if they have a few minutes of spare time. The game is set to launch sometime this year.
