Coming in October, Pokemon trainers in the United States can get access to two rare Pokemon from any Gamestop retail location. The deal is to promote the November release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire editions on the 3DS.

Super Smash Bros Pic Of The Day Shows Off The Vault

Starting on October 13 and running until October 26, fans can walk on down to their local Gamestop store and pick up a game card which contains a Pokemon X/Y code for a Shiny Gengar. The rare Pokemon (though not so rare anymore) can then evolve into a Shiny Mega Gengar. Not bad for a Cheshire-esque creature based on the Japanese Oni demon.

Players of the Pokemon card game have some reason to rejoice, as well."As an early Halloween treat from Pokémon, beginning October 13, 2014, fans can purchase a Pokémon TCG: Gengar Spirit Link 2-Pack at participating GameStop locations in the U.S. while supplies last. Each Pokémon TCG: Gengar Spirit Link 2-Pack includes two 10-card booster packs from the Pokémon TCG: XY‹Furious Fists expansion, as well as the Gengar Spirit Link Pokémon Trainer card that debuts in the Pokémon TCG: XY‹Phantom Forces expansion, launching nationwide November 5, 2014."

Clash Of Clans Big Updates Coming Soon

Afterwards, from October 27 to November 16, Gamestop will be serving up Daincie, one of the hardest Pokemon to get. This will also give players access to Daincie in the upcoming Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire where you'll be able to get the Diancite Mega Stone, which allows you to evolve the creature into the Mega Diancie, the only such Pokemon of its generation (VI) that has a Mega Evolve ability. It can also effortlessly produce diamonds at will. No wonder it's so rare, De Beers has been suppressing it the poor creature the whole time.

Both Pokemon are offered for free. No need to wage endless battle or fruitlessly search the land for them anymore. Just walk in and catch em.

All of which leads up to the November 21 release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire on the Nintendo 3DS.
