New iOS Game Controller From MOGA Holds Your iPhone Or iPod Touch For Convenient Mobile Gaming

Play On Your iPhone With Precision, New iOS Bluetooth Controller Hit Stores Later This Month

As we saw with Apple's demonstration yesterday, iPhones are becoming more and more legitimate as a game console. Seeing a full MOBA running on an iPhone 6 showed this perfectly. But if you want to be able to play games on your iPhone without messing with sometimes shaky touch controls, the new MOGA Rebel Bluetooth controller for iOS allows for convenient iPhone and iPod Touch gaming on the go.

How Do The New iPhone 6s Stack Up Against Handheld Gaming's Current Platforms?

The Rebel can connect to iPhones, fifth generation iPod Touches and iPads that run at least iOS 7, providing more accurate controls for games that support it. Plenty of games in the App Store's library of games already support third-party controllers, especially games that had originally been on consoles like Final Fantasy IV and BioShock. A full list of iOS games with controller support can be found over on MOGA's website.

Though the controller will connect to an iPad without any problems, it has added functionality with the smaller devices. The middle of the controller flips up to reveal a holder for an iPhone or iPod, allowing you to carry the whole setup around while leaving both hands on the controller. The arm even extends enough to cradle the beefy new iPhone 6 Plus.

The Battery In The iPhone 6 Plus Is A Huge Improvement Over Previous Models

The controller looks very inspired by a typical Xbox controller. It features four face buttons, four triggers and the asymmetrical double analog stick design with which Microsoft fans are already no doubt familiar.

With new generations of iOS devices becoming more of a credible threat to more traditional game consoles, it's about time they handled like traditional consoles as well.

The MOGA Rebel will be available in Apple retail stores September 17 for $79.99.
